Snake Encounters with Paloma Faith, this photo shoot was a long time back now, in fact 12 December 13.
In the first photo Paloma is lying around with Rosie, Freckles the Corn Snake and Freckles Mum, Snowbody.
In the second photo Paloma is holding Rosie one of the Albino Burmese Pythons that live in the Sanctuary.
Rosie (short for Rosetta Stone) lives with her Sister Bou (short for Boudica) the story of these two snakes is that lots of help and assistance were given to a friend when the eggs were laid and when the babies hatched so they were a gift to the sanctuary, it was hoped that they would be males as a pair of females are going to grow very much larger, but they are very much loved here and have a large room ready for them when they grow too big for their 7ft vivarium. Having these snakes gives us the opportunity to create funds for the sanctuary when people ask for this type of snake for photo shoots, videos etc. They have been handled since they were babies and are quite used to it, actually coming to the vivarium door to come out for snuggles, every time Sue or her volunteers turn up.
