Snakey Children’s Entertainers!
Sue runs educational Snake Parties and presentations for children at Children’s Birthday Parties, as well as Schools, Nursery’s, Scouts, Beavers, Cubs, Brownies and Guides!
Not only are Sue’s snake parties great fun, but unlike most other children’s entertainers, they are also educational!
Snakes are particularly appropriate for Special Needs – snakes are tolerant and have a calming effect.
Children are not generally afraid of snakes until adults have impressed their own fear upon them. IF the children are nervous before the snakes arrive, 9 times out of 10 they will not be by the time we leave. We take between 6 and 10 snakes, of all types and sizes and there is an educational talk, including the showing of hatched snakes’ eggs and shed snake skins.

We do not keep any venomous snakes:
Only 10% of snakes in the world are venomous and because there are no venomous snakes living in Sue’s Snake Sanctuary, none come to our parties. Most of the other breeds of snake are constrictors and be reassured, they are not out to constrict people.

There is some fun with a fake snake and answers to the million and one questions that are asked – there can’t be a better Jungle Party than handling live snakes!!
As an Equity member Sue has public liability and is licensed to take the snakes out in the public, there is a risk assessment document available for institutional events.

All the children receive a photo card of one of the snakes from the sanctuary with a voucher on the back for another party booking.
The Birthday child receives an A4 laminated piece of snakeskin, a photocard and a print-out snake mask to colour.
We can also bring pictures to colour and pages of snake games to settle the children before we begin or for young children to do as well as.
How about snakes at your féte/school? All payments and funds help towards the care of the rescued snakes.
