It’s such a shame that people have so little knowledge of snakes that until they meet them they don’t realise what a pleasant and interesting experience it is.

Most of my adult talk and encounters end with people changing their minds about snakes and realising what special beings they are; people usually tend to think they strangle anything alive including people, in fact constriction (which is how they kill their prey) is not strangling, to constrict the snake needs to squeeze the whole torso of the prey animal including the front legs or arms which means it really has to be a humungous to attack and constrict a human. Most snakes kept in captivity accept being handled by people quite peaceably, snakes really are not the aggressive creatures that the media make them out to be.

The photos below have to prove my point. Big Debs the Boa made a rather large impact too, she has a big character to go with her size.

Myself and good friend Louise were booked to edu-tain this group for an hour, the  hour turned into two hours with one of the security guys popping in to have his photo taken too.
