Speakers gigs

Speaker events, I have enjoyed speaking and dancing at quite a few speakers meetings over the years.

Talking about my life as a professional belly dancer, entertainer and herpetologist.

When talking and dancing I talk and play 3 or 4 short pieces of music to dance to, to illustrate the styles of dance i.e. Turkish, Egyptian. I can bring a snake to this event but it isn’t necessary.

Usually these societies are for older folk and many can be afraid of snakes at first but many overcome their fears once they realise there is nothing to fear, the snakes are socialised friendly and accommodating.

At most of them I have been too busy to take photos and my talk usually overruns the time allotted means I’m hurriedly packing up because we need to leave the hall.

Here are some pics, old and new, I managed to take; shown below.

Speaker for club meets

Speaker for club meets: I have enjoyed speaking about my life experiences as a dancer, entertainer and herpetologist.

For most people in the audience I have had an unusual career in which, as a self employed person I have needed to re-invent my work style, so they find it interesting and I like to speak with a bit of humour added.

I have two different speaker styles to offer:

  1. As a Belly dancer speaking interspersed with 4 short dance performances to different pieces of music i.e. Turkish, Greek, Arabic and Snake dance. i can bring a snake if requested. This talk is mainly fun and dance orientated.
  2. I talk about my life as a dancer, snake dancer, tarot reader, snake oracle and how I began rescuing snakes and taking them out on educational presentations. This talk is much more educational and I bring 4/6 snakes for handling or just to see.

The problem is at these gigs I am so busy entertaining that I forget to take photos.

I have included some photos here of gigs past and present.
