Childrens Snake Party at Hackney N1

The snakes did their usual brilliant job of entertaining at this childrens snake party, not just the children at Bruno’s party, many of the adults had lots of fun too,  here’s a photo of his Mum – Kate

And here’s a photo of his Dad – Beanie, all of the snakes that we take to childrens parties are very child friendly and are used to being      handled by children – we never take any nervous snakes out to meet the public

.This little chap is holding a Kenyan Sand Boa we have a whole family of these snakes, Sandy and Kenny came to live in the Sanctuary 11yrs ago they were both 5/6yrs old, we have their daughters Becky and Susie who are 10yrs old and in 2011 Sandy and Kenny had some more babies and we found homes for most of them but have 5 babies now who have already been out and about relieving people of their fears, they are one of the cutest and smallest of snakes, they don’t move too fast and are very nice to handle so they help to calm people if they are at all worried about snakes. So many children and adults have overcome their fears by meeting the Kenyan Sand Boas.

Childrens Snake Party in May

Childrens Party photos, I didn’t have this blog site up and running in May and just came across these lovely photos.  Here you can see how much the children enjoy handling the snakes they are given a lot of freedom with them, I find that if you give children some responsibility they behave brilliantly.  As you can see by the photos the Birthday child gets to hold as many snakes as possible for a photo at the end, I usually bring 8 snakes.  The children learn so much about snakes this way at the same time they have lots of fun because snakes are fun we’re continually breaking down the misconceptions this way.
